Testing mobile web applications using the bundled browser
This section includes instructions for creating, editing, and running tests of web
applications on mobile devices using the internal browser that is bundled with HCL OneTest™ UI.
Creating mobile tests
You can record a test from an Android application or iOS simulator on a mobile device, a
simulator on which the mobile client is installed, or from HCL OneTest UI.
Editing mobile tests
You edit mobile tests in the test editor, where you can
view and customize a mobile test that was imported into HCL OneTest UI or
uploaded from a mobile device or simulator.
Running mobile tests
After generating a test from a recording, you can run the test on multiple mobile devices
and simulators. HCL OneTest UI includes
its own generic browser, called the mobile web recorder, for
running the tests. Starting with 9.2.1, you can also run tests for iOS applications using the
Safari browser and Appium. You can also run tests for Android applications using the Chrome browser
and Appium.
Evaluating mobile test run results
To check whether or not the mobile test ran successfully,
you can open the test report. You can also view each recorded functional
action in the report.
