Publishing multiple results to server

If you have multiple test results that are not yet published to HCL Quality Server and HCL OneTest™ Server, you can publish all them at the same time.

Before you begin

  • You must have installed HCL Quality Server server or HCL OneTest Server server on any machine and started it. The server is part of the product package. For more information about HCL Quality Server, see the HCL OneTest API documentation. For more information about HCL OneTest Server, see the Information Center.
  • If the server is behind a firewall, you might not be able to connect to it. You must have configured the firewall so that it could allow connections on ports 5443 and 7828.
  • If you have legacy reports, you must have upgraded them to Web Analytics report format. To upgrade the legacy reports, right-click the legacy report and select Upgrade.

About this task

Currently, only statistical reports can be published.

  1. Select the test results by using one of the following ways:
    • From the Test Navigator view, right-click the test results that you want to publish and select Publish Results. You can select the results from across the projects.
    • Click File > Export > Test > Export Result to HCL Quality Server and select the test results to publish and click Next.
  2. If you had added the publish parameters in Preferences (Test > HCL Quality Server), they are reflected in the Publish Result dialog box. Else, click New Server and specify the server URL. The format of the URL is https://serverName:5443.
  3. To put the test results in another project, click New Project and specify the project name.
Note: The New Project option is not available for HCL OneTest Server.
  4. In the Execution Results table, select the test results that you want to publish. The results that are already published are highlighted in bold text. The dialog box also displays the message about the number of results that are already published. You can choose to overwrite those results.
  5. To add labels to the results, in the Labels column, click a row against the result and type the name of the label. To apply a common label to the selected results, click Add Common Labels and type the name of the label.
  6. Click Finish to publish results to the Unified Reporting dashboard.
